Job Summary
The Database Administrator (SQL) is responsible for designing, supporting, and optimizing SQL database environments across managed services customers. This role focuses on ensuring database performance, availability, security, and reliability in complex production environments while partnering closely with customers and internal engineering teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong SQL expertise, a proactive mindset, and experience supporting large or mission-critical database systems. This is a remote position and requires a dedicated home office, with limited travel as needed.
Role Description
- Design, build, administer, and support SQL database environments across customer-managed platforms
- Ensure database performance, availability, reliability, and security in production environments
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve database performance and stability issues
- Perform backup, restore, HA/DR, and disaster recovery planning and execution
- Optimize existing environments and contribute to standardization through documentation and SOPs
- Participate in and lead managed services projects aligned to customer objectives
