Warehouse Associate/Yard Mule Driver

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Warehouse Associate/Yard Mule Driver is responsible for tracking shipments, receiving, processing, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products in a warehouse setting. Additionally, they will operate a yard mule and a 48-ft flatbed to pick up, transport, and deliver materials within TAS warehouse facilities. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Warehouse Responsibilities: - Track shipments and ensure timely receipt and processing of materials. - Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming materials, equipment, and products. - Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials within the warehouse, and stock shelves. - Perform routine cycle counting of inventory and maintain accurate records in ERP systems. - Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards are maintained. - Assist with shipping, including packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for delivery. Driver Responsibilities: - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation of the yard mule and 48-ft trailer. - Load and unload materials using forklifts or other equipment according to TAS best practices. - Transport materials between warehouse facilities and vendor sites in the greater Houston area. - Manage basic automotive and equipment repairs and maintain cleanliness of the yard mule and flatbed. - Verify items being picked up or delivered and maintain accurate delivery documentation. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while driving in various traffic and weather conditions.
