Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Manual Tester in Tampa, FL. Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can juggle multiple testing efforts while maintaining a sharp eye for quality. You will play a key role in ensuring our applications meet high standards for functionality, usability, and reliability before release. Working closely with developers, product managers, and QA peers, you will help deliver a seamless and reliable user experience. Key Tasks:
- Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases to validate functionality
- Execute manual test cases and clearly document results
- Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Azure DevOps
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
- Validate fixes and conduct re-testing
- Participate in test planning, test reviews, and requirement analysis
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices
- Provide thoughtful feedback on usability, functionality, and performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing
- Solid understanding of the SDLC and QA methodologies
- Hands-on experience with test case management and bug tracking tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Have
- Experience testing web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
- Basic SQL knowledge with the ability to query databases
- Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman)
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
