The Canopy by Hilton Grand Rapids Downtown is looking for a part-time Restaurant Utility Person/Dishwasher to support back-of-house kitchen operations and maintain cleanliness in the hotel's full-service restaurants and banquet events! JOB SUMMARY: The Utility position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of washable items (trays, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.) and dish room area in order to maintain the hotel's standards of quality and sanitation. Helps with set up/tear down for functions in catering department as well as general cleaning duties.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual methods. • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and equipment. • Practice “clean as you go” method to maintain all areas in accordance with health and safety standards. • Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables.
