Quality Assurance Engineer

The QA Engineer helps ensure software quality through thoughtful testing practices and growing automation capabilities. In-office attendance will align with the department's schedule, which is determined collaboratively by the team.Job Responsibilities- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback and support testability - Create and execute test plans and test cases based on system requirements and user stories - Assist in designing and maintaining automated test scripts using open-source tools and frameworks - Participate in agile ceremonies and help estimate and prioritize testing activities - Identify, document, and track software defects; support regression testing efforts - Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand system behavior and testing needs - Support the development and improvement of QA processes for new and existing products - Monitor basic QA metrics such as defect counts and test coverage - Investigate issues and contribute to root cause analysis with guidance from senior team members - Stay current with testing tools, methodologies, and best practices - Use tools such as Postman, qTest, and Splunk (or similar tools) - Leverage AI tools to assist in creating and revie
