Classification Title OPS Custodian - P.K. Yonge DRS Classification Minimum Requirements: Driver's license. Level 2 DCF Background check required. Job Description Keeps buildings at P.K. Yonge sanitized and in orderly condition. Relies predominantly on instructions and pre-established department and CDC guidelines, but some job functions may require exercising some independent judgement. Works under general supervision. Reports directly to Custodial Supervisor. Service, clean, or supply restrooms; Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; Gather and empty trash; Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors; Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment; Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; Clear debris from classrooms, walkways, sidewalks, and entrances; Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment; Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications; Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Assist, as needed, in delivery of shipments throughout campus; Monitor, clean and supply assigned work stations, including janitorial closets. Move furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings. Drive vans, industrial trucks, or other vehicles required to travel to or to perform facility needs.
