Duties
This position is organizationally located in the Office of Strategic Partnerships (OSP), National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), Under Secretary for Museums and Culture.
The Museum Specialist Will
- Compile existing historic data for the Office of Strategic Partnerships to create a classification of how the office has served peer museums field-wide to-date. This includes the creation of a partners database and external and internal web updates.
- Compile and summarize evaluation data from project and program participant feedback forms to identify impact and reach of programs.
- Work with OSP senior leadership team, support the development, design and delivery of program evaluation and reporting, coordinate efforts with subject matter experts and appropriate collaborative partners.
- Assist with report writing, compile communications material and information requests on behalf of the office.
- Serve as contracting officer’s technical representative (COTR).
- Develop and execute memoranda of understanding (MOU) and small contracts with vendors, collaborators and subject matter experts.

Occasionally the work is strenuous, with significant physical activity required to lift some object types that are large and heavy up to 50 lbs.
