Job Description Position Purpose: Performs a variety of semi-skilled, skilled, technical, and administrative work in the planning, scheduling, maintenance of vehicles and equipment within Fleet Services. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: - Diagnoses and locates mechanical problems on fleet vehicles and equipment. - Repairs brakes, engines, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, transmission, ignition, air, exhaust, axle assemblies and related systems using a variety of hand, electric, air-driven tools, and diagnostic instruments. - Performs cutting and welding in performance of body repair, touch up and related work. - Performs routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments on vehicles and related equipment. Promptly reports any operational problems with machines or equipment to Lead or Supervisor. - Inspects vehicles and equipment for compliance with applicable policies, rules and regulations for road-worthiness and safety. Takes corrective action per procedure in assigned area. Investigates vehicle / equipment damage, completes forms, participates and completes remedial actions to prevent further occurrences within assigned deadlines. - Performs all duties in compliance with Veolia Water safety policies and
