Job Summary The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity. The project is for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and will require a background check to gain site access. Davis-Bacon wages will be paid. Essential Job Responsibilities - Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading and shake out of material. - Install safety line and posts. - Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe. Required Minimum Qualifications - GED or High School Diploma. - TWIC Card and/or Real ID’s are required. - Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions. - Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds. Preferred - Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts
