About Us
GiveCard builds infrastructure to magically move money to people who need it. Last year, 1 in every 300 households in the United States received financial assistance through GiveCard — including families who lost their homes in disasters, state benefit recipients, and survivors of domestic violence.
We’re a deeply caring, small team of Givetopians who believe that the smartest people in the world should dedicate their time to manufacturing good magic. Our culture and philosophy put morality, vocation, and fulfillment at the forefront — and we have a very, very fun time doing it.
The Role
We’re hiring a Frontend Engineer to help build and improve the interfaces that power GiveCard — both for the organizations distributing funds and for the people receiving them.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone with a few years of professional frontend experience who’s excited to ship real products, learn quickly, and see their work directly impact real people. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend engineering to build accessible, reliable, and delightful user experiences across our admin platform and cardholder-facing web applications. We value shipping meaningful improvements quickly, learning from real user feedback, and iterating — you’ll see your work in production early and often.
We’re especially excited about candidates who care deeply about usability, accessibility, and building technology for people who are often overlooked.
This role is Remote, but you're welcome to work from our offices in New York and San Francisco whenever convenient.
