Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator – Level A
Experience Level: 1–5 Years of Warehouse Experience
Job Summary
The Warehouse Forklift Operator – Level A is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of electric-powered industrial trucks in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. This role supports material movement, product storage, and order handling while following all safety, quality, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely operate stand-up or sit-down electric forklifts.
- Move pallets, skids, boxes, products, and materials to designated locations.
- Load, unload, and put away product using warehouse scanning systems (HU scanning and product lookups).
- Consolidate product as required during put-away and storage.
- Pick and place materials onto or off of pallets.
- Maintain compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Follow all safety rules, company policies, and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable work attendance.
- Demonstrate personal responsibility for safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Cross-train and learn job functions in other departments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating stand-up and/or sit-down forklift equipment (certification provided in-house).
- Prior warehouse and SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in basic English.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as business needs require.
Physical Demands
- Stand for extended periods.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Walk, kneel, talk, and hear regularly.
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 70 lbs.
