- This job sits within the Cabin Technology department of the Technical Operations Division. The position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and the performance of Inflight Entertainment (IFE) and Inflight Connectivity (IFC) technology.
What You'll Do
Engineer L2/L3
- Manage the software development and Customer Acceptance Testing for the Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity systems (IFEC) and may lead other projects involving on-aircraft systems/technology
- Monitors Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) system performance using operational, analytics, and supplier provided data, and works directly with IFEC suppliers to diagnose issues, drive corrective actions, and restore service performance.
- Tasks may include defining new processes, gathering and documenting requirements, managing project deliverables, and developing, reviewing, and executing test plans for technology projects
- May act as coordinator for any aspect of hosted applications integration, including project management, software, hardware, network, data management, security issues, and vendor selection
- Utilizes available resources to continually increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience
- Assesses daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
