Director of Operations

Summary MGT is seeking a contract employee to support one of our valued clients on an ongoing, long-term assignment. This position requires full-time, on-site availability and flexibility to work irregular shifts as needed. Travel percentage is unspecified.The Director of Airport Operations is a hands-on operational leader with direct accountability for the daily execution and regulatory compliance of airport operations across airside, terminal, and landside functions, including real-time decision-making during disruptions. This role is accountable for continuous compliance with FAR Part 139 and other applicable FAA/TSA requirements (including 49 CFR Part 1542 Airport Security and the Airport Security Program (ASP), as applicable) and for carrying core Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities, including hazard reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking. This position will be located in the New England market. The selected candidate must be able to report on-site as required and respond to after-hours emergencies, including 24/7 call-back expectations. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance & FAA Coordination· Maintain the Airport Certification Manual (ACM) in accordance with FAR Part 139 and applicable FAA Advisory Circulars; assist in establishing and enforcing departmental policies, procedures, and SOPs.· Ensure implementation of required compliance programs and plans, including: FAR Part 139; 49 CFR Part 1542/ASP; Part 77/FAA Form 7460-1; WHMP; SICP; SWMP; SPCC; AEP; and SMS requirements.· Support FAA and other regulatory inspections/audits; respond to findings, develop and track corrective action plans, and oversee FAA Form 5010 reporting and airfield data integrity.Maintenance Planning & Scheduling· Execute operational strategies and initiatives established by executive leadership through operational planning, 24/7 shift coverage, and readiness across airfield and terminal/landside environments.· Lead operationa
