Director of Acute Care Services

Brief Description Director of Acute Care Services will be responsible for overseeing Nursing Administration (Med Surg, ICU, Case Management, Emergency Department, and Nursing Supervisors) Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse leader to serve as Director of Acute Care Services. This leadership role is responsible for the oversight of multiple, diverse departments within the acute care service line, driving organizational performance through collaboration, innovation, and alignment with the hospital’s strategic vision. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting staff development and operational excellence. Requirements Education and/or Experience: - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) with at least 3 years of experience in an acute care setting. - Master’s preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities - Directly supervises employees—Emergency Department, Med Surg unit, Intensive Care Unit, Case Management, and Nursing Supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Must maintain current CPR, ACLS, & PALS certifications - Current Colorado nursing license.
