Position Purpose
Starting Hourly rate $18.25 per hour
Oversee specific construction tasks and projects with the intention to learn and grow in the knowledge and skills that are required to be a Construction Crew Leader. This team member will both manage volunteers independently and work collaboratively on the homes of the Site Supervisor they are assigned to assist, while upholding the standards of safety, partnership, quality, and team participation. The member will help manage and develop groups of skilled and unskilled volunteers and homeowner families on the build sites while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Essential Functions
- Assist Site Supervisor in new construction of homes across all phases and in all weather conditions
- Assume leadership roles both during volunteer workdays, and preparing materials for projects
- Plan for each workday to ensure that all necessary resources are available to complete the task list
- Perform or supervise, monitor, and delegate tasks to volunteers, homeowners and other team members as appropriate
- As requested, provide leadership on special construction projects such as off-site builds and events
- Provide a safe working environment at all times, abiding by all Habitat Charlotte Region, OSHA, and EPA safety standards
- Maintain Habitat equipment, including trucks, tools, and materials as assigned
- Assist with hands-on construction tasks including, but not limited to, demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry and landscaping.
